Madison Hickman for Third Ward City Council

  • Rooted in Community, Committed to Change

I’m Madison Hickman, a small business owner, hairstylist, and proud resident of Troy’s Third Ward. Every day, I work one-on-one with people, listening to their concerns, understanding their needs, and helping them feel their best. That commitment to service, connection, and trust is what drives me—not just in my business, but in my passion for our community.

I’m running for Troy City Council because I believe local government should work the same way: leaders should listen, respond, and take action that reflects the needs of the people they serve. Too many residents feel disconnected from the decisions being made at City Hall, and I want to change that.

I have no larger political ambitions—my focus is right here, making sure our parks are well-maintained, our neighborhoods are heard, and our local government is accessible to everyone. As someone who has lived and worked in downtown Troy for years, I’ve seen firsthand what makes our community great and where we can do better.

This campaign isn’t just about me—it’s about us. I’m ready to work hard, knock on doors, and have real conversations about what matters most to you. Let’s build a stronger, more connected Third Ward together!

    Stronger Neighborhoods & Better Parks

Our parks and public spaces should be places we're proud of- safe, updated, and accessible for everyone. I will work to improve maintenance, add amenities, and ensure our parks meet the needs of our community.

Bridging the Gap Between Government & Citizens

Too many residents feel unheard by City Hall. I will make local government more accessible by listening to concerns, increasing transparency, and ensuring that city decisions reflect the needs of the people.

    A Community-First Approach to Leadership

As a small business owner and hairstylist, I know the importance of listening, problem-solving, and building trust. I will bring that same service-minded approach to City Council- putting people over politics and focusing on real solutions for our community.
