  • Rooted in Community, Committed to Change

I’m Madison Hickman, a small business owner, hairstylist,
and proud resident of Troy’s Third Ward. I own and operate a small business in downtown Troy, where every day I work one-on-one with people—listening to their concerns, understanding their needs, and helping them feel their best. That commitment to service, connection, and trust is what drives me—not just in my business, but in my work on Troy City Council.

For nearly a decade, I’ve been part of the downtown Troy community, both through my business and as a resident. I care deeply about the neighborhoods, parks, small businesses, and people that make our city special.

I believe local government should work the same way my business does: by listening, communicating clearly, and responding to the needs of the people it serves. As your Third Ward Council Member, my goal is to help bridge the gap between residents and City Hall so our community feels heard, informed, and involved in the decisions shaping Troy’s future.

Strong communities are built through conversation and collaboration. I’m committed to keeping those conversations open, encouraging community involvement, and working alongside residents to strengthen the Third Ward and the city we all call home.

    Connected & Engaged Neighborhoods

Strong communities start with neighbors who know each other and feel connected to where they live. I believe residents should have a voice in the decisions that impact their streets, parks, and neighborhoods.

As your Third Ward Council Member, I’m committed to hosting ward meetings, encouraging community involvement, and making it easier for residents to stay informed and engaged with what’s happening in our city.

    Strong Parks & Public Spaces

Our parks and public spaces should be places our community is proud of—safe, well-maintained, and welcoming for everyone.

I support continued investment in our parks, trails, and shared spaces so families, children, and neighbors have places to gather, stay active, and enjoy everything Troy has to offer.

    Transparent & Accessible Local Government

Local government works best when residents understand how decisions are made and feel comfortable being part of the conversation.

I’m committed to improving communication between City Hall and the community by sharing information, listening to concerns, and helping residents navigate city processes so they feel heard and represented.

  • Ward Meetings & Community Updates

I host periodic ward meetings so residents can ask questions, share concerns, and stay informed about city issues affecting our neighborhoods
